The stirring musical South Pacific relates a tale of treachery, betrayal, and heartbreak. The demons of nurse Nellie Forbush's racially polarized upbringing are forced to resurface when she faces the mixed-race children of her erstwhile French lover Emile in a wartime US Naval base. Based on James Michener's Pulitzer-winning book, the 1949 Broadway original scooped ten Tony Awards, and a 2008 Revival nearly repeated the feat with seven. Oscar Hammerstein II and Richard Rodgers' musical shot to immortality, giving three South Pacific New York Revivals, West End shows and a 1958 film, and South Pacific Tickets are one of the most sought after in the market.
